I love that you can control from your phone. I’ve had the VL45 for 6 years and had to use the buttons on the side and had to pull the fridge out from where i have it sandwiched so there is no side access , kinda of a pain til this one came out
I replaced my original EcoFlow Glacier, which had the built-in ice maker, with this unit, and I am extremely pleased with it.
Since receiving it, I've been running several real-world tests using it exactly the way I plan to while camping, even though I'm currently testing it at home. I initially tested it with the smaller compartment as the freezer and the larger compartment as the refrigerator. I then reversed the configuration, using the large left compartment as the freezer and the smaller right compartment as the refrigerator. That has become my preferred setup because I prepare and freeze a lot of meals ahead of time so I don't have to cook every day while traveling.
I currently have the freezer set at -2°F and the refrigerator at 39°F. It maintains its temperatures extremely well, even when I'm going in and out of it for three to five minutes at a time, and sometimes longer.
I've also been very impressed with its power consumption. Using a 2k+ power station, I got approximately 80 hours of operation before the power station was depleted, with no solar or other source recharging it. I'm currently testing the same large-freezer/small-refrigerator configuration with a 3k power station. At the five-day mark, the power station still had 12% of its original charge remaining, again with no solar or other source recharging it.
I also ran one test using the ICECO battery and got more than nine hours, but I went to sleep before the battery was completely depleted, so I don't know the actual runtime. I plan to repeat that test using my current large-freezer/small-refrigerator configuration.
For comparison, my previous EcoFlow Glacier batteries were advertised for up to 40 hours in Eco mode, but in my own testing I was lucky to get about eight hours from each battery. The APL35 and my current power setup have been far superior for the way I actually camp.
My only initial concern about switching to the APL35 was its smaller overall capacity. My EcoFlow had a larger refrigerator compartment and a freezer compartment that was about 3 liters larger. However, I've learned how to pack the APL35 efficiently. I recently discovered that, between the food I can carry in the APL35 and my dry pantry supplies, I can carry close to a month's worth of breakfasts and dinners.
And dropping roughly 20 pounds from the refrigerator I have to lift and move is a very welcome bonus.
So yes, I am very, very pleased with the APL35. It has exceeded my expectations, and I feel confident using it as my primary refrigerator/freezer when I begin traveling and camping full-time.

Those of us wanting to use the Iceco fridge battery will want to get this cover because of the handy battery pouch. The Wonderful APL55 has an aluminum skin so the magnet on the battery does not hold. There is also storage for the internal divider and power plugs. Since our unit is always being used at home, we do not Velcro-close the lid cover, only doing that when traveling. The cover looks nice and results in less electricity used because of added insulation. Note that the soft-close feature on the fridge lowers a little faster with the added weight of the lid cover.
Another win for the hardworking team at Iceco.
Using it in our motorhome, so far so good.
Our new APL55 exceeded our expectations on its maiden voyage recently. It carried more than enough food for the two of us on a 5-day journey into the backcountry and it all stayed cool or frozen the entire trip and used very little battery. To say we’re happy with our APL55 is an understatement.
IceCo was responsive to an issue I had with the cigarette lighter connection and very quickly worked out a solution which works 100%.
That you support. Great job.
We like the freezer and fridge and the ability to make both either. Super unit!
I'm putting it into my 2009 Chevy Express g3500 ambulance build and it awazing. It holds enough for me, my wife and son for 10 days eazy
What one would expect, Great build quality, Quiet, Energy efficient.....
Hard to beat the value
It is perfect for our tailgates, cross country trips with friends and family, never without the things you need and want form medications to Ice Cream.
We travel in our RV multiple times a year. Unfortunately, the refrigerator and freezer in our RV lacks the capacity for weeks on the road. Our freezer and refrigerator provides us the additional capacity that we need on the road and provides additional freezer/refrigerator capacity when we're at home. We're very impressed with the quality of our ICECO and are so glad that we purchased this brand as well!
I've had this for a month now. It rides in the bed of a 4th gen Toyota under a tri-fold tonneau cover. With the factory bed mat, I had to slightly modify the cover to clear, but it wasn't a problem. The fridge has been great. I bought the battery and use the 12v outlet in bed to keep everything charged up and running. Not having to open the bed cover to get my drinks out has been wonderful. I also off-road and use the included straps to keep everything in place. Works like a champ. So far, I'm very happy with it. Would recommend it if you're on the fence
This is perfect solution for my Lexus GX 550. I have a MOLLE style shelf built into the ceiling of my cargo area. It prevents the lid from fully opening and severely limits access from the top. I usually have to pull the refrigerator out and set it on the ground, which is no easy chore for a 75-year-old man. The third door access is genius and completely resolved the issue. I recently returned from a multi day trip to Mexico for the Baja 400 Offroad race. We camped on the beach every night and it was so cool to leave the refrigerator lashed down the entire time. I now have three ICECO units. Whether I’m running a local Arizona trail or the Rubicon, they have always performed flawlessly. Yeah, I’m a fan.
Awesome
